Performing arts lead us to experience a wide range of sensations. Dancing is one of the most powerful means to strike our feeling for creativity. Classic or contemporary, it’s always delightful coming home and attending an innovative opening show.
Choreographer Marcos Morau and his artistic project La Veronal developed for the Spanish Dance Company (Compañia Nacional de Danza) a new stunning work performed at Barcelona’s Mercat de les Flors. After travelling to Copenhagen, Portland, Reykjavik, Russia and Iceland, this time La Veronal takes us to Nippon-Koku (Japan) and tells a delusional story inspired by Yukio Mishima’s ideals: “it walks around the idea of society and authority, questioning who are we, where are we and what is the nature of our behaviour within the social game. Willingly or unwillingly, we are definitely accomplices.”
Multidisciplinary, experimental and always in search of original expressive formats, Morau and his team work the language of movement and create a very personal spectacle with a reflecting global message.
This is just a brilliant show!
